How to Setup SmartMadre on Windows

  1. Create a device or select the device you want to configure from your device list.
  2. Write down or copy the DNS Server listed in the Network section of the device page.
  3. On your computer, go to the Control Panel.
  4. Click on Network and Internet.
  5. Click on Network and Sharing Center.
  6. Click on Change adapter settings.
  7. One or more connections will show up, find out the one currently in use. If in doubt, it's the one that doesn't have a red X in its icon. If you want to configure SmartMadre on multiple connections (so it works for example in both wired and wireless connections) repeat steps 8-13 for each connection.
  8. Right click on it and select Properties.
  9. Click on Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).
  10. Click on the Properties button.
  11. Make sure that Use the following DNS server addresses is selected.
  12. Enter the DNS Server address copied from step 2 into the Preferred DNS server and Alternate DNS server text boxes.
  13. Click the OK button.
