How to Setup SmartMadre on Mac OSX

  1. Create a device or select the device you want to configure from your device list.
  2. Write down or copy the DNS Server listed in the Network section of the device page.
  3. On your computer, go to the System Preferences
  4. Click on Network
  5. One or more connections will show up, find out the one currently in use. If in doubt, it's the one that says Connected in its icon. If you want to configure SmartMadre on multiple connections (so it works for example in both wired and wireless connections) repeat steps 8-12 for each connection.
  6. Click on Advanced.
  7. Click on DNS.
  8. If there are any DNS servers on the left under DNS Servers, remove them with the left Minus button.
  9. Click the Plus button on the left.
  10. Enter the DNS Server address copied from step 2 into the DNS Serverslist.
  11. Click the OK button.
  12. Click the Apply button.
